Inktober and Drawlloween days 30 and 31– Spider, Dragon
My last two Inktober drawings for this year.
Both pieces are inked with a Letraset fineliner, Daler Rowney acrylic ink and a water spray bottle in my A6 sketchbook.
Inktober and Drawlloween day 28- Scarecrow
A scratchy, inky scarecrow scene for today’s drawing.
This piece is inked with Pilot V5 ink fineliner, Daler Rowney acrylic ink and small detail brushes in my A6 sketchbook.
Inktober and Drawlloween day 28- Black Cat.
A little black cat and friendly spider silhouette for today’s drawing. I’m really liking watering down and layering ink recently.

Inktober and Drawlloween day 27– Witch
Witch Hazel and Kiki (and Jiji of course) riding their broomsticks by each other. I couldn’t decide on which character to draw so I ended up drawing both of them together.
I’m not sure if I’m happy with the sea in this piece- I started using an India ink brush pen and then realised that it didn’t really give the effect that I wanted. I did scan in the line art before adding the ink so I may create another piece with it, maybe something mixed media next time.
The landscape below was done entirely with different layers of ink and a tiny brush.
Uni Pin pigment ink liner, Faber Castell grey brush pen, Daler Rowney acrylic inks on A5 250 gsm paper.
Inktober and Drawlloween day 26– Rat
Another small drawing, I decided to draw a rat silhouette on one of the small ink cards I created a couple of months ago. I have three left to decide what to do with.
You can still see some of my pencil lines as this type of card did not agree with the eraser that I have.
This piece is inked with Daler Rowney acrylic ink, brushes and a Uni Pin pigment ink liner.
Inktober and Drawlloween day 25- Mummy
This is quite a small drawing on an equally small rectangle of watercolour paper.
I definitely wanted texture in this piece so I tried to keep my brushes as dry as possible.
This piece is inked with Daler Rowney acrylic ink and small detail brushes.
Inktober and Drawlloween day 24- Skeleton
I had some bits of left over wrapping paper that I wanted to use in this piece. The paper itself is kraft brown paper with metallic purple dots from Paperchase. As I scanned this in, the metallic purple hasn’t picked up well.
I may make a short clip showing it as I love the contrast of the purple against the monochrome drawing.

Inktober and Drawlloween day 23- Gore
I was quite looking forward to creating a very splashy, messy ink piece for this prompt. I’m always fond of letting the ink do it’s own thing and and then work back into it.
This drawing is Daler Rowney acrylic ink, mostly used with an ink dropper and water in a spray bottle on 250 gsm paper.
Inktober and Drawlloween day 22- Candy
I decided to draw a candy apple for today’s prompt but in the spirit of this Halloween month, I wanted to reference the poison apple from Snow White.I’ve always loved how the poison apple looked- I even have an acrylic pendant with this design.
This drawing is inked with a couple of Letraset fineliners and Daler Rowney acrylic ink on 250 gsm paper.
Inktober and Drawlloween day 21- 8 bit zombie.
An 8 bit zombie Luigi because I had no idea what else to do for this prompt and I at least wanted to make it a little bit interesting. I also like Luigi more than Mario- is that weird?
I should have known but creating artwork in this style with ink and a brush is quite annoying.
