Finished tattoo design (commission). Large watermark through this since it was custom designed for a client. This is a mix of digital and traditional drawing.
Laissez les bons temps rouler is a Cajun French phrase, mainly used in Louisiana, meaning let the good times roll.
Watercolour and pen sketch in sketchbook.
Today is World Pangolin Day.
Unfortunately the world’s only scaly mammal is highly endangered. Today aims to bring about information, awareness about poaching and conservation efforts.

Illustration Friday- Hat
My submission for this week’s Illustration Friday topic Hat.
Watercolour and ink pen on paper.
In the Hollow Of Your Hand
Watercolour, acrylic ink and text on paper, 14.6 x 19cm.
This is a little fun piece that was inspired by Amarante’s new single In The Hollow Of Your Hand. I decided to include a couple of lyrics from the song in the artwork.
You can listen to the single here on Soundcloud.

Illustration Friday- Smart
My submission for this week’s Illustration Friday topic Smart.
This is a relatively small piece- watercolour, pen and ink on paper, 8.2 x10.8 cm
Quick raven cameo piece- mixed media sketchbook page.
Might revisit this idea later.
Decided to create a couple of tribute paintings this weekend. Terribly sad that this week has both David Bowie and Alan Rickman have passed away, both greats that were inspirational for many art forms.
As you can see I chose to paint Bowie’s Aladdin Sane/Ziggy Stardust and Alan Rickman as Alexander Dane/ Dr. Lazarus (from Galaxy Quest- one of my favourites)
Both pieces are watercolour, acrylic ink and ink pen on paper.
1] Sightseeing, mixed media postcard, 6 x 4 inches
2] Together, mixed media postcard, 6 x 4 inches
Two postcards I sent off to Nottingham for Surface Gallery’s International Postcard Show. Both postcards have a base of paper ephemera- a mixture of train tickets and car park ticket stubs with acrylic ink, watercolour and ink pens. Together has found vintage anatomy images- the heart in the middle has also been cut apart and hand stitched together with black thread.
Will be nice to start off this year with an exhibition with artists from around the world.
A little late posting this one.
This/last week’s Illustration Friday topic Punch.
Acrylic paint, ink, ink pens on Moleskine page
Like Fire– many layers of acrylic ink, watercolour, ink pen on paper.
This piece is inspired by the poem Like Fire by thephilosophersotherstone on Tumblr:
autumn paints the leaves
in memories of blazing sun
darkening trees shrouded
in red, gold, and rust
tiny solar flares dance
among branches and limbs
as the cycles of life
calm down all around us
through darkening days
and chilling nights
lights play in our hearts
calling echoes of summer
Link to the poem.
I definitely recommend checking out his other wonderful writing.
