I’ve wanted to create some Undertale fan art for a while but only just got round to it. It’s hard to pick favourite characters but I love Napstablook and Toriel- I’m planning on creating a piece with Toriel soon.
This piece is acrylic ink, back pigment ink pen and white gel pen on paper. Napstablook himself was drawn and inked on tracing paper, cut out and stuck to the ink background. I thought the tracing paper would give a nice translucent effect, him being a ghost and all.
My submission for this week’s Illustration Friday topic- smoke.
Acrylic ink, ink pen and charcoal pencil on an A6 sketchbook page.
Sketchbook page- 28/06/16
Ink pen and watercolour.
Spent a couple of hours in Stourbridge last week, sketched a few things while enjoying a cup of tea in The Coffee Collective cafe. A lot of interesting things to sketch in there- yes they have small toy dinosaurs and origami cranes dotted about the place.
Acrylic ink and pigment ink pen on watercolour paper, 10 x 15 cm
Recent commission for a gift. Such a cute face to paint.

Another A6 sketchbook page- 23rd was stuck in traffic on motorway travels, 26th just doodling.
I think you can tell I love the blue Tombow brush pen I bought a couple of weeks ago.
Couple of recently done pages in my small sketchbook. On the left trying out some colourful Tombow brush pens and on the right some tool sketches planning for Illustration Friday a couple of weeks ago.
The top image is the scan of the pages and you can see the orange looks a little more red – not sure which colour I like better.
Unfortunately my wonderful Grandad passed away on Sunday. I’ve felt pretty lost this last couple of days but I’m starting to get back into doing the usual.
I, of course, had to draw something as a memorial because I’m an artist and that’s how I deal with things. Anyway, my Grandad loved cricket, to me, cricket is always associated with him so I drew this little piece to keep that idea with me at all times.
BB-8, watercolour, acrylic ink and ink pen on paper
Played around with ink, water spray bottle and a sponge to create various textures in this piece. I wanted the background to contrast the clean and technical look to BB-8.
Link to my sketchbook sketches and planning for this piece.
A woman walked past my window this morning wearing boots similar to these. I felt compelled to draw them.
Watercolour and acrylic ink on paper.
My submission for this week’s Illustration Friday, Shelter. A sketchy, inky drawing on a Moleskine page.
The base layer on the page is tissue paper that was wrapped around my soap from Lush. The drawing itself is pigment ink pen, watercolour and acrylic ink.
